Guideline for Thesis Writing

  • The standard is A4 (210×297mm), printed on white paper over 80g of lipid.
  • List of Contents
    • Cover: Form 1 (At the top of the cover, the copy for examination must indicate that it is for examination and the final thesis must indicate it is the final thesis), Form 6
    • Inner Cover I: Form 1, Form 6
    • Inner Cover II (Approval Letter): Form 2, Form 7
    • Table of Contents
    • Permission for Use of the Work
    • Korean Abstract: Form 4
    • Contents
    • References
    • English Abstract: Form 5
    • Appendix
      * This is the standardized order of thesis binding when the thesis is written in Korean. If the thesis is written in English, the order of Korean Abstract and English Abstract should be reversed.
  • Printing of the content (as per HWP document)
    • Font: Entire thesis- Batang font, title of thesis - HY Kyunmyungjo
    • Font size: Print in 11pt. font without differences in majors of humanities, social sciences, or natural sciences.
      ( Footnotes in 9pt. font )
    • Line spacing: 200%
    • Paper margins
      - Top: 35, Preface: 0
      - Left: 35, Right: 30
      - Bottom: 25, Footer: 15
      * Margins on both sides are the same for the cover.
    • When entering the subject number, use the following order. - Thesis in Korean: 1. A. 1) a) (1) (a)
      - Thesis in foreign languages: 1. A. 1) a) (1) (a)
    • Photographs should be printed or copied to maintain the original color.
    • After printing the final version, bind them after receiving final confirm from thesis review committee
      (Sealing required for thesis in Korean and signature for thesis in English)

    • English Abstract : Form 5
    • Appendix
      * This is the standardized order of thesis binding when the thesis is written in Korean. If the thesis is written in English, the order of Korean Abstract and English Abstract should be reversed.

※ Please make the cover of the thesis conform with the standard with minimal alteration by the discretion of the thesis author as long as it does not exceed the overall standard

(provided that the top and bottom margins should be kept as much as possible and the font size can be adjustable according to the length of the title).

※ The cover, inner cover, Korean abstract, and English abstract forms that are correctly aligned with the standard are posted on the graduate school homepage.

(The cover should be printed with the same margins on both sides)
