Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
⭐
1) Are the countries/host institutions/periods designated?
No, there are no fixed set destinations or durations. You are free to identify and proceed with a research plan based on your own research topic.
Though the graduate school does not arrange the host institution directly, we can issue a certificate of international joint research support if you need to submit. It is also available for the visa application purpose.
2) Is it possible to modify the research period once it has been approved?
No, you must complete the research period stated in your application.
If you need to shorten or adjust the period due to personal or unavoidable circumstances, please contact the graduate school office and submit a change application form.
If you need to change your departure or return dates, please be aware that the scholarship is calculated based on the number of full months of stay, within 30 days counted as one month.
(60 days = 2 months, 59 days = 1 month, applications not accepted or may result in cancellation)
However, if the change is due to delays in administrative procedures of the host institution, airline issues, or similar unavoidable factors, the scholarship may be adjusted in accordance with university regulations after submitting a statement explaining the reason.
3) Is it mandatory to obtain a visa?
Yes, under the program guideline, obtaining and submitting a valid visa is mandatory. Failure to submit a visa will result in ineligibility for scholarship payment.
Please ensure that the visa type corresponds appropriately to your purpose of stay. (i.e., research activities).
